Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming James and Will, the founders of Impulse Decisions, a UK-based charity fundraising and event management company, to our office. What began as a business visit quickly became a week filled with conversations, collaboration, competition, laughter, and moments we’ll be talking about for a long time.
For those who don’t know, James and Will aren’t new to us. Impulse Decision is a 16-year-old charity fundraising and event management company based in the UK, and we’ve been partners with them for over six years now. Six years of calls, projects, late decisions, big wins, and everything in between.
But this was the first time we got to do all of that in the same room. And there is truly nothing like it.
Our MD Mr. Pranjal Mehta took them out for a round of golf on the first day. Good way to start a week: no laptops, no agendas. Just get comfortable with each other. By the time they came back, it already felt less like a client visit and more like catching up with people you know well.

Back at the office, the days were packed with productive discussions. Teams came together to review ongoing projects, exchange ideas, discuss future opportunities, and align on the road ahead. What stood out wasn’t just the work being discussed, but the openness and enthusiasm with which everyone engaged.

Of course, not all teamwork happens around meeting tables.
One evening, we cleared some space and played box cricket. Four teams, James, Will, Pranjal, Raj… and about zero chill from anyone involved.
Zealousians were bowling like their lives depended on it (no kidding). Batters were way too serious. It was loud and chaotic and honestly one of the best evenings we’ve had in a while.
Every boundary felt like a winning moment, and every wicket had everyone cheering. Friendly rivalries kicked in, teammates backed each other up, and for a few hours, nobody cared about job titles. We were just a bunch of people enjoying the game.
See it yourself :
Well, James’s team won. Best bowler, winners, full medals, and everything else. They earned it. We’re not sore about it. (We’re a little sore about it.)
But beyond the final score, the real win was seeing everyone come together, sharing laughs, cheering each other on, and creating memories outside of work.
The celebrations continued the following day in one of the most unexpected and heartwarming ways.
During tea time, James and Will surprised everyone by preparing Yorkshire Tea for the entire office themselves. They brought out tea they’d carried all the way from the UK and just… made it for everyone. Themselves. Standing in the office kitchen, brewing chai for the whole team.
Soon enough, everyone gathered around with a cup in hand, enjoying conversations that had nothing to do with deadlines or projects.
Sometimes, it’s the smallest moments that leave the biggest impressions.
The day also featured a table tennis session, bringing out another round of friendly competition and plenty of laughter.
To conclude the sporting celebrations, medals were distributed to recognize standout performances from the cricket tournament. Awards for the winning team, Best Bowler, Best Batter, and other achievements added another layer of excitement to an already memorable week.

One of the most insightful moments of the week came when we sat down to record a special episode of Zealous Talks.
Rather than discussing the visit itself, the conversation explored a topic on everyone’s mind today: artificial intelligence and what the future looks like for businesses navigating this rapidly evolving landscape.
James and Will shared a founder’s perspective from the UK, offering valuable insights into how businesses are approaching AI adoption, the opportunities emerging across industries, and the realities of building and scaling AI-driven ventures in today’s market.
The discussion covered everything from the pace of AI adoption in the UK to the challenges entrepreneurs face when launching AI-focused companies. It was an honest conversation filled with practical observations, real-world experiences, and thought-provoking perspectives on where technology is headed next.
For our team, it was a rare opportunity to hear directly from someone operating within one of the world’s most active innovation ecosystems. The conversation sparked ideas, challenged assumptions, and reinforced the importance of staying curious in an industry that changes every day.
And while the podcast microphones may have been switched off at the end of the recording, the discussions continued long afterward around the office.
The podcast will be out soon. Stay tuned on our socials; the conversation has amazing insights for anyone starting a business in the UK.
What stood out most wasn’t the meetings, the cricket matches, the medals, or even the podcast.
It was seeing how strong partnerships are built.
Through conversations beyond project updates. Through friendly competition on a cricket pitch.
Through sharing a cup of tea.
Through exchanging ideas about the future of technology.
Through spending time together as people, not just clients and service providers.
At Zealous, we believe the best collaborations are built on trust, transparency, and genuine human connections. Last week was a wonderful reminder of exactly that.
To James and Will, thank you for spending the week with us, sharing your time, your stories, your energy, and even your tea-making skills.
Here’s to great partnerships, unforgettable memories, and many more moments together in the years ahead.
Our team is always eager to know what you are looking for. Drop them a Hi!
